Knowledge is Key...

What do you know now that you wish you knew then?

Do You Know Where You're Going To?

  1. I wish I had known that it is important to have and maintain good credit. That people lie and that you can be betrayed by your closest friend but that it is not the end of the world. It will hurt. . .a lot but you will get over it and eventually you will learn how to forgive.

  3. I don't know that I really have an answer to this question. I think a lot of what we need in life is to learn how we will deal with things that happen. I know though, that for the sake of a couple of my friends (and me), that it would have been good if I had learned more about depression earlier. I wish I had truly understood the saying "to have much, make your wishes few".

  4. I wish I knew back then how to bite my tongue and just shut the F up!

I wish I knew that I couldn't be right all the time!

I wish I had just said "I'm Sorry" and "Thank You" and nothing else more often.

I wish I had taken that job in Lesotho!

That one should never 'gorge' on raw vegetables if one is not used to it, especially huge amounts of raw broccoli and cauliflower...

Cross eyes, look heavenword, grimace and in your best Jerry Lewis imitation, say: It's sooo paaaaaaaiiiiiayayayayayayaynnnnful!

    H 2,
Number 1 and 2 of one thousand hmmmms.
1 Last saturday night, I wish I had known to scream, no stop, don´t
it´s dangerous, as my second son scaled over a fence...and ended up with a crazy weekend in the hospital.
2 Sunday night, I wish I had known what a great week it was to be, spending such close time with my kid.

  12. When you're young have to believe in yourself. Listening to advice from others, whether well-intended or not, can introduce roadblocks that may take years to overcome. I try to remember this as I work with teenagers; a casual remark made by an adult may burn deeper than you think.

  13. I wish I knew earlier in life the power of "ME" and not sought security from a job or a particular career path. I wish I had known just how resilient I really am which might have lead me to take a few more calculated risk and might have given me more confidence to march to the beat of my own drum.

  14. I now know that every smile is not really a smile. When I smile it comes from the heart and radiates throughout. As I've gotten older I've learned that a smile is like the eyes, it too allows you to see into someones soul

  15. I wish I would have known how hard it is to be a single parent and how hard it is to raise a well-rounded, loving, smart, strong, intelligent and responsible young women.

I wish I would have known that no matter how good of a friend you are that it is not always returned.

I wish I would have known years ago that life is precious and should not be taken for granted.

I wish I would have known to take my education more seriously and to follow my passion instead of what works for the moment.

  17. Also, that my 30's would be so much fun...I would have not tried to get it all in in my 20's.

  18. I wish I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker when I was in college. I would have started filming short films while a student at Morehouse; studied the industry; and got to know alumni like Spike. But film and video equipment was not easy to come by in the mid-80's. So perhaps going to film school (NYU) a decade later was best. Heck, if I didn't, I wouldn't have made the Hollywood Pictures/Disney short that gave me a good jump start.
