"Here I Go Again...!"

Do you believe in reincarnation?  If so, which life is this for you...?

  1. I don't believe in reincarnation, though I see how the idea came to be. I imagine that, whatever comes after our earthly life, it isn't going to be changed much by whether we believed in it on this life. Whether what comes next is another life, or nothing, or paradise, or whatever might be, I think our beliefs about that are about as important as what we believed in the womb about this life. Whatever we could imagine couldn't have been close to the world of light and sharp sounds, of mothering and fathering, of dryness and taste that we live in. And whether we "believed" in our mother or not, she was going to love us (in most cases at least) and nurture us in the unexpected place place, not abandon us for thinking the wrong thing.

And, I can't resist sharing something. As long as I knew her, my friend Terri, who died this year, had a plaque on her front door. It said simply "I didn't believe in reincarnation last time either."

  2. I do believe you keep coming back until you get it right.

I have always believed I was a rich, white woman (like Leona Hemsley) in my past life and I came back a black woman working hard for my earnings. I have images of me doing something and I will say where in the hell did that come from.

You know how you can look at a child sometimes and say "they been here before."

I feel that way about my own. Too creepy.

  3. Yep. I'm not sure I can articulate it so it make sense, but I feel it. Not so much that I've been here before but that there was something before.

  7. Possibly- I've definitely felt at times that there have been some experinces that I've probably had enough of in a previous life to feel it necessary to do this one-
